This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated fund accountant to develop broad experience across fund accounting, treasury, fund control and financial reporting within a leading alternative investment manager. The successful candidate will report to the Deputy CFO in the Finance and Fund Operations team.

- Reviewing the daily NAV calculation and valuation of Abbey Capital managed hedge funds through an automated tri-party reconciliation process.
- Liaise with appointed trading advisers, fund administrators, custodians and clearing brokers to investigate and resolve trade and cash exceptions.
- Ensuring proprietary systems accurately reflect portfolio positions.
- Performing daily bank reconciliations.
- Assisting with cash transfers and treasury management.
- Maintaining commission database to ensure Abbey’s hedge funds get charged appropriately.
- Support daily and month-end fund control activities, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Assist with the production of Financial statements
- Review of Investor Reporting to ensure accurate information communicated to Investors.
- Preparation of invoices and processing of expenses.
- Identifying opportunities to improve operational processes through automation and enhanced controls.
- Various ad-hoc tasks and project-based work.
- Third level qualification in a business-related field.
- 2+ years experience in fund accounting, fund administration or investment operations.
- An organised and enthusiastic approach to work.
- Demonstrate reliability and attention to detail.
- Team player with appetite to learn and progress in the role.
- Keen interest in working in the financial services industry.
- Strong computer skills and a keen interest in using AI-powered productivity tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude or Cursor) to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks and support process improvement.
- Ability to solve problems in a fast-moving environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
